Brand Re-Fresh

At ONE Strategy, our goal is to bring our client’s vision and value into a creative design and comprehensive brand identity/strategy.  At the start of any project, we conduct a thorough client brief, to understand exactly what the brand means to our client, and how they want to expand and grow with it.

This being said, when re-designing the AES logo and brand, we made sure to keep elements of the old logo that were important and valuable to the client.  For example, the elliptical shape with the trapezoid cut-outs had been recognized by their industry and long-time clients for 30 years; and we understood that keeping that within the design was crucial.  However, our addition of the “layers” motif brought a creative and modern edge to the new logomark.

Of course designing around constraints and limitations isn’t the easiest project, but digging deep to think of something creative, functional, and impactful for our clients is a labor of love for us.

AES is celebrating its 30th year in business in 2015, and to kick-off the next 30 years of their company, they were looking to refresh and revitalize their brand identity.

ONE Strategy analyzed their 30-year old brand, which although outdated from a design perspective, still possessed valuable attributes and public recognition from a brand perspective.  We successfully created a fresh, clean, new brand for AES, incorporating original identity elements such as the elliptical shape, yet adding modern components such as the “layers”.


Mobile internet usage has increased by 67% in the past year, reinforcing the pressure to businesses to up their game in the mobile market.  It is crucial to a businesses’ success, especially in the digital environment, to have a website that is fully responsive on all device types.

We designed a customized, mobile-friendly, fully responsive website for AES, built on the wordpress platform, which allows optimized navigation for AES’ customers/users.

AES was looking to streamline their client-relation process, and alleviate some of the daily administrative tasks of their staff by implementing a client portal system, where clients could check status of projects, pay open invoices, and download available reports.

ONE Strategy integrated such a system into their hosted website, all on the WordPress platform.
